This past week Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia hosted its annual Fitness Challenge Fundraiser to help support our National Athletes!

The following OGKN athletes will be competing as part of the greater Namibian National Karate Team at the AUSC Region South Karate Championships in Harare, Zimbabwe next weekend!

OGKN is proud to announce that this past weeks Fitness Challenge was successful sponsoring a total of N$18 200 to the above seven athletes. Any further funds still to be collected as part of the challenge will be put into the OGKN Sports Karate Fund to once again support it’s athletes in the future!

Sensei Stefan van der Merwe will be accompanying the team in his new capacity as Namibian National Karate Coach as well as Sensei Carl van der Merwe who will be going as part of the Namibian officials delegation.

OGKN is also proud to announce that Sempai Joshua Kunneke has been selected as the new captain of the Namibian Karate Team.

Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia would like to wish the entire Namibian National Team the best of luck at the upcoming tournament!
