The Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia (OGKN) June Gradings took place on the 12th and 13th of June 2026, with 117 karateka participating across all levels — from white belt to black belt — and ranging in age from 6 to 67 years old.

The gradings showcased the dedication, discipline, and perseverance of all students as they demonstrated their technical ability, spirit, and understanding of Goju-Ryu Karate.

A special congratulations goes to Ono Akweenda and Peuee Kavekatora, who were both awarded their Shodan (1st Dan) Black Belts after successfully completing their grading examinations. Achieving Shodan marks an important milestone in every karateka’s journey and reflects years of hard work and commitment to the art.
OGKN congratulates all students who graded successfully and thanks the instructors, senior members, and supporters who helped make the event a success.
