OGKN Athletes Bring Home Six Bronze Medals from UFAK Region South Championships

OGKN proudly congratulates the five athletes who represented Namibia at the 23rd UFAK Region South Children’s, Juniors and Seniors Karate Championship 2026 in Luanda, Angola. Competing from 14–17 May 2026, all five athletes earned Bronze medals in their respective divisions, with an additional Bronze in the Senior Male Team Kumite event. Their achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and spirit of Namibian karate on the regional stage.

A Weekend of Progress: OGKN Final Gradings 2025

Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia concluded its final gradings of the year on 21 and 22 November, bringing together students from across the dojos for two days of focused effort and achievement. A total of 133 students, ranging in age from 5 to 66, were invited to grade, each demonstrating the discipline and perseverance that define our practice.

OGKN at the 10th TOGKF Budosai – Okinawa 2025

In October 2025, the 10th Traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do Federation (TOGKF) Budosai was held in the birthplace of karate – Naha City, Okinawa, Japan. The Budosai is a prestigious international event that brings together practitioners from around the world to celebrate, train, and preserve the authentic teachings of Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do under the guidance of world-renowned masters. A group of five karateka from OGKN (Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia) proudly represented Namibia at this year’s Budosai, as well as during the official World Karate Day celebrations held in Naha City.
