OGKN attend annual IOGKF South Africa Black Belt Gasshuku
The annual IOGKF South Africa Black Belt Gasshuku hosted by Sensei Bakkies Laubscher is well known in the IOGKF community for it’s high technical standard. The two day Gasshuku is open exclusively to IOGKF Black Belts and previously required members to travel from across the continent to the IOGKFSA Honbu Dojo in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Since the start of the covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the Gasshuku has moved over to a digital platform, allowing IOGKF black belts to join in from across the globe. This years Gasshuku featured IOGKF Black Belts from a record breaking 18 countries.

Seniors attend Black and Brown Belt Gasshuku with Sensei Bakkies Laubscher
A number of Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate Namibia’s seniors attended the annual Senior Black and Brown Belt Gasshuku this past weekend hosted by IOGKF Technical Advisor and Chief Instructor of IOGKF South Africa; Sensei Bakkies Laubscher (9th Dan IOGKF) . The Gasshuku was hosted virtually with IOGKF members joining from all across the globe.
