Walvis Bay Gasshuku 2020 – Going Coastal

20-Oct-2020

On the 13th and 14th of November Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate will once again be hosting its annual Walvis Bay Gasshuku.

The event which has become one of the highlights on OGKNs yearly calendar will once again be hosted by Sensei Carl van der Merwe in cooperation with Sensei Nico Maritz and the Walvis Bay Dojo. The general objective of the seminar is to expose members to a broader picture of Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate, thereby helping to expand their vision of the art, and in turn stimulate and preserve their interests.

With the Covid-19 pandemic having put put a halt to the majority of events for the year, OGKN would like to strongly motivate all members to take advantage of this opportunity and come out to support the event.

For members that cannot attend the Gasshuku in person, there will also be the option join the Gasshuku virtually on Zoom.

All members attending the Gasshuku will once again be presented with a certificate of attendance as well as attendance credits which ultimately count towards their gradings.

Looking forward to seeing you at the coast!
